Super Metroid New Zebes is a refurbish of Super Metroid.
It introduces a new game sequence, and a much stiffer challenge than what is encoutered in the original game.
A perfect hack for those looking for "some more Metroid 3 action", but are also looking for a more formidable challenge.
The bosses in particular may frustrate you, but patience and persistance is key.
Before entering any boss room, it is a good idea to keep an extra save state handy in case you can't beat the boss, and need to go back and collect more items before trying again.

Required skills:

	- jump, tuck, morph, and roll into a narrow space in midair
	- jump, tuck, morph, and plant a bomb in midair
	- triple-hop using bombs
	- shinespark
	- wall jumping (for a few areas, not too many)
	- some underwater trekking without gravity suit

Not required:

	- infinite bomb jump
	- diagonal bomb jump
	- underwater wall jump
	- (probably more, but that's all I can think of atm)

Improvements from the previous version of SMNZ:

	- repallettes for most rooms and beams
	- edits to a majority of the rooms in the game; some minor, some more extensive
	- some hex tweaks to make gameplay slightly more interesting
	- some... interesting... text edits

Available in 5 modes! Choose according to your level of play:

	- Easy (similar to the difficulty level of original SM)
	- Regular (quite a bit harder than original SM)
	- Hard
	- Expert
	- INSANE!

... or heck, play all 5 if ya like ;)

Specifics for each difficulty level:

Easy:
	- Ceres timer 1:00, Zebes timer 3:00, double energy, double missile/sm/bomb/pb strength
Regular:
	- Ceres timer 0:45, Zebes timer 2:45
Hard:
	- Ceres timer 0:35, Zebes timer 2:30, only 50 energy per Etank pickup
Expert:
	- Ceres timer 0:30, Zebes timer 2:20, only 25 energy per Etank pickup
INSANE!:
	- Ceres timer 0:25, Zebes timer 2:10, only 10 energy per Etank pickup, starting energy 89 instead of 99

... keeping in mind that both escape sequences are more difficult than they were in original SM.

Also, reserve tanks are the usual 100 energy per pickup regardless of difficulty, so keep that in mind.

(NOTE: to play an alternate difficulty, first apply the regular ips patch, and then apply the patch of the difficulty you want)

Known bugs:

	- When shooting Crocomire in the mouth with a charge beam or missile/sm, sometimes you'll get a dud shot rather than making him flash and retreat.
This will happen with about 20% of your shots and appears to be random (but tends to happen more often when you're futher away from him).
While it is technically a glitch, it can also be looked upon as something that makes beating him more challenging.
Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to fix this issue without reducing particle acceleration, which I don't want to do.

	- Once you damage Spore Spawn, he reverts back to his original color palette. :(

Found any other bugs? Please contact me via the methods at the end of the readme.

All repalettes, etc in the hack are fair game to be reused in your hack if you wish.

Giving credit to me is not necessarily required, but is definitely appreciated.

Just don't try to claim that the hack was your doing. That wouldn't be cool.

A good way to show your appreciation for the hack is to visit my YouTube channel and subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/user/MATHGODpi

Other than that, enjoy! :)
